Hi there! I’m Kathleen (Katie), a home-based baker out of Mount Bethel, Pennsylvania. I have worked as a baker for nearly ten years throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania, a job that has always been a dream. After graduating from NYU and working in the publishing industry, I left to pursue something I always loved. My first baking job was at the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse where I worked as a decorator and production baker. From there I apprenticed at a boutique bakery that focused exclusively on wedding cakes, Appetique, located in Orefield, PA. While Appetique is no longer in business, the lessons I learned from the owner Phyllis have followed me to each of my jobs. From there I went on to work as the head pastry chef at Bex Kitchen in Califon, NJ and later on as the head pastry chef of the Bread Box and Bakery in Perkasie, PA. Both of these jobs expanded my knowledge and love of baking, and eventually led me to my very own company, Kathleen Huber Cakes.

While I have experience is all areas of pastry, my greatest joy is baking and decorating for events. It is always an honor to be a part of my clients’ celebrations, whether it is an elaborate wedding or a simple at home birthday party. My kitchen is licensed as a Limited Food Establishment by the PA Department of Agriculture.

I am blessed with a wonderful husband of over 8 years and our daughter who we welcomed in the spring of 2022.
